Pink Fund Third Anniversary Luncheon - Oct 18th
As many of you know, following my breast cancer diagnosis in April 2005, and the financial fallout our family experienced as a result of being unemployed and unemployable for six months, I began to envision a non-profit which would make bill payments for families experiencing a similar financial crisis.
The Pink Fund was born from this experience.
This October, we will celebrate our third anniversary with a luncheon on Sunday, October 18th. Details and tickets may be purchased by logging onto www.thepinkfund.org.
To date we have helped nine Michigan families over as long as six months,by making some of their bill payments while they complete treatment and get ready to return to work.
I don’t suppose anyone can understand the value of our work, unless they have walked in “my shoes.”
But I know from our grateful recipients just how important these financial gifts are to their peace of mind, allowing them to focus on healing and not whether they will have lights, heat, a roof over their heads or a car to drive.
Our luncheon features Dr. Daniel Sherbert, Beaumont breast reconstruction surgeon, and Dr. Jen Green,Beaumont naturopath.
I would be grateful if we were blessed to have you among us on the 18th. If you cannot attend, perhaps you will consider making a donation. Believe me your contribution will be well used.
And, if I may be so bold, perhaps you will consider forwarding this note to a few friends.
With gratitude for your support over the years,
Molly
